Skill Development in Prisons
The Sri Sri Rural Development Programme (SSRDP) extends its transformative skill development initiatives to prisons across India. By offering vocational training, life skills, and ethical leadership education to inmates, SSRDP empowers them with the tools for rehabilitation, dignity, and a second chance at life. These programs foster self-reliance and help reduce recidivism, enabling inmates to reintegrate into society as productive citizens.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
SSRDP conducts RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) certification in Yoga, Agriculture, Textile, Apparel, Retail, Tourism, Hospitality and other sectors for certifying the competencies of the unregulated workforce, providing recognition to informal learning (or learning through work) and giving it the same level of acceptance as formal education.
Skill Development for Prison inmates

Entrepreneurship Development (EDP)
With support from corporate partners, SSRDP provides Entrepreneurship Development Program to ensure that those who have completed skill training create a business plan to run their own enterprises successfully. In many cases, this has been followed by access to micro-finance to help aspiring entrepreneurs set up their own ventures.
Access to Employability
SSRDP’s Access to Employability Program has reached 69,000+ students in more than 200 colleges in 17 states, providing classes on interview skills, spoken English, personal grooming and soft skills, advanced computer training and job-specific technical training.
Skill Gap Survey
SSRDP undertakes Skill Gap Surveys, to study skill gaps and submit reports for youth aspirations vis-a-vis availability of jobs in various industry sectors in different regions, thereby assisting the Government in getting accurate and authentic data for creating policies.
Career Guidance
SSRDP provides career counselling to help youth to identify their aptitudes through psychometric assessment, making them aware of the wide range of opportunities available for skill development and guiding them towards the right career choices for training, employment and entrepreneurship
Government ITIs Upgradation
SSRDP in collaboration with Schneider Electric has undertaken the upgradation of Practical Solar & Electrical Labs of 23 Govt ITI’s across India. The project also foresees to upgrade 10 ITI’s in Nepal.
Online Skilling Programs
At SSRDP, we conduct various types of online skill development programs in collaboration with expert trainers who work on upskilling trainees in the field of Basic Stock Marketing & Investing and International languages.
Skilling Programs under NEP
Skill Development is an important aspect of the New National Educational Policy (NEP) -2020. We offer Yoga, Organic Farming, and Junior Software Developer One year (2 Semester) Skill Training Modules to Degree Colleges students and provide NSDC Certificate.
